If you create a public playlist on Spotify, any other Spotify user can like or follow it. They don’t even have to follow you to like your playlist. Whether your Spotify playlist has one or a thousand likes, you may be wondering who liked it. While you can see who liked your content on most social media and music apps, is it possible on Spotify? Unfortunately, that’s not the case, but you can check out other stats and see how many likes a playlist gets.
How to Check Your Playlist Stats in Spotify on iPhone
When you create a playlist on Spotify, everyone can like it. Keep in mind that if you like a Spotify playlist, it will be added to your library automatically. So technically if you like a playlist on Spotify, follow it too. In reality, the “Like” button is replaced by “Follow” on the Spotify desktop app. Moreover, you can only like public playlists because private playlists are not accessible to random Spotify users.
If you’ve created some top-notch playlists and find yourself collecting a ton of likes, you might be wondering who liked them. The good news is that you can see the number of likes on any public Spotify playlist, whether it’s yours or someone else’s.
However, you don’t have the ability to see which individual profiles like a Spotify playlist, even if it’s yours. This option was available until 2013 when Spotify removed the feature. Now you can only see how many likes your Spotify playlist has. While many users complained that they couldn’t see who liked their playlists, there’s no indication Spotify will bring this feature back.
In 2019, a Spotify spokesperson stated: “We are keeping this idea as ‘Not Right Now’ as this is not something we plan to implement immediately. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts. If we have any new information to share, don’t worry, we’ll be back here with a new status.”
Now, and probably forever, you can only see how many likes your Spotify playlist has. So, in case you are wondering how to check the number of likes on Spotify on an iPhone, here’s what to do.
How to Watch Spotify Playlist Like Counts on iPhone
- Open “spotify” on your iPhone.
- Tap on “Your Library” in the lower right corner of the menu.
- Select the “Playlists” tab at the top of the screen.
- Tap the relevant playlist to see how many likes it has gotten.
You’ll see the playlist’s number of likes below the title, which is on the left side of the screen. Unfortunately, you can’t use that number to find out individual users who liked the playlist. For example, if you tried to tap the number of likes, nothing would happen.
While there is no solution to see who liked your Spotify playlist, some users check their followers to see if there is anyone new on the list. However, this does not necessarily mean anything. Even if you have a new follower, your playlist may be liked by someone who already follows you, or someone who doesn’t follow you at all. This method can be especially useless if your Spotify account has a lot of followers. There’s just no accurate way to determine who liked your Spotify playlists.
How To Check Your Spotify Playlist As Counts On Android
For the Spotify app on Android devices, the same rules apply as for iOS. You can only see how many likes your Spotify playlist has. Anyway, if you want to see how many people liked your playlist on Spotify, just follow the steps below.
- launch “spotify” on your Android device.
- Select the “Your Library” button in the bottom menu.
- Continue to the “Playlists” tab at the top of your screen.

As with the iPhone app, if you tapped on the number of likes, nothing would happen. Keep in mind that if your Spotify playlist doesn’t have any likes, you’ll only see your username and profile picture under the playlist title.
Remark: There are many third-party apps that claim to show you who liked your Spotify playlists. However, they are all scams and it is not recommended to install them. There is currently no reliable solution to this problem.
How to Check Your Playlist Stats in Spotify on Windows PC
The Spotify desktop app doesn’t give you what you’re looking for either. It only shows the total number of likes of your playlist.
Keep in mind that the number of likes of a Spotify playlist is not always in the same place. It depends on whether you are using the mobile app, the desktop app or the web browser. If you are using Spotify on the desktop app, the likes count will be on the right side of the app.

How to Check Your Playlist Stats in Spotify on Web Player
The Spotify web app is a great solution for those who don’t want to install the desktop app as it offers the same features. However, it also doesn’t give you the ability to see who’s been following your playlists. You can only see how many likes it has. This is how it’s done:
- Open the Spotify web app in your browser.
- Log in to your account.
- click on Your library on the left sidebar.
- Find and click the playlist you want to check.
Your number of likes is listed below the playlist title, next to your username. For example, the web app says “15 likes.”
This may be hard to follow
While neither Spotify’s mobile, desktop, or web app allows you to see specifically who liked your playlists, you can still see how many likes each playlist has. While Spotify doesn’t currently show you who follows your playlists, it’s possible that this feature will be added in the future. For now, Spotify users will just have to be content with being able to see their followers and playlist likes.
