MGM Doubles Down on Las Vegas Strip Casino Bet

Nothing happens fast on the Las Vegas Strip.

That makes sense when you’re talking about a very busy 4.2-mile stretch that’s home to countless mega-resorts all vying for the same clientele.

Building a new project in a city where the labor market has become very tight, the cost of building materials has risen and working conditions are hampered by high temperatures and desert-like dry air is a huge challenge.

But perhaps the biggest problem with building something new — or even refurbishing an existing one — in Sin City is simply size and scale.
