Dell Stock Slumps As Muted PC Forecast Offsets Solid Q2 Earnings

Dell Technologies (DELL) Shares fell lower Friday after the PC and laptop maker delivered stronger-than-expected second-quarter results, but warned that weakening demand from businesses and consumers would reduce sales in the near term.

Dell earned an adjusted $1.68 a share for the three months ended July, beating Street’s forecasts by about 4 cents a share, as revenue rose 9% to a record $26.43 billion, in part. thanks to increased demand from companies looking to promote hybrid workplaces, which offset a 9% drop in consumer sales.
