Renting Out Her Car Earned This Real Estate Agent an Additional $10K

While Airbnb (ABNB) car rental has brought the sidelines of many people into full time careers, car sharing apps have always been designed to be a source of passive income.

You register your car and when you’re not using it, have someone else drive it for what could be $25 a day for a Fiat 500 or $375 a day for a Bentley Continental.

The peer-to-peer car-sharing company Turo was launched in 2010 from Boston, but has become extremely popular in the past year. Turnover increased by 207% between 2021 and 2022.

While the company is currently private, Turo filed for approval in January to go public via an IPO under the TURO ticker.
