Here’s What to Watch For at Disney’s D23 Convention

Sure, Comic Con is fun and all, and it’s still a place where studios reveal their latest projects and drop trailers to whip up audiences, all hoping to generate positive buzz and spark fan loyalty.

But the really huge media companies don’t just pass by other people’s fan conventions. They have their own. And arguably the biggest studio-owned convention is D23.

The convention is named in honor of Disney’s (DIS) official fan club since the company was founded in 1923. This year will see Disney’s official centennial, and it goes without saying that the company has big plans to celebrate this milestone. (And many of those plans are currently in the works.)
