When it comes to fried chicken fast food, Restaurant Brands’ Popeyes has an eight-piece Hushpuppy shrimp dinner with fries and a cookie for $5, just for mobile takeout. But a two-piece chicken combo with mashed potatoes and gravy and a biscuit will set you back $11.29. A classic Chicken Sandwich combo with a plain side and a small drink costs $10.99.

( KFC rolled out the best deal on fried chicken on Aug. 29 with its 2-piece drum and thigh combo meal for $6, which includes two pieces of original recipe or extra crispy chicken, a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, a biscuit, and medium soda. The deal is available in restaurants, online at KFC.com and on the KFC mobile app. YUM)
KFC is also extending its limited-time $5 Mac & Cheese Bowl deal, which is only available on the KFC mobile app or on KFC.com until November 13. Available in Classic or Spicy, the meal includes creamy cheddar mac and cheese topped with KFC’s crispy popcorn chicken and a sprinkle of a three-cheese mix.
For a limited time, until September 11, KFC is offering a free half-gallon drink bucket with a choice of beverage for any order of a 12-piece or larger meal.
“We know consumers feel a pinch in their wallets, and these affordable meal deals make it easier for them to enjoy the KFC favorites they love,” Nick Chavez, KFC US chief marketing office, said in a statement.
