THE Bishop’s Diocese on the Niger Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo has told Nigerians that as they enter the new year, they should lead a new lifestyle, have a new vision, new understanding and new expectations, even though it is the Nigerian election year.

Bishop Nwokolo delivered his New Year message in Onitsha yesterday saying that Nigerians should expect change in their situation and the way things are done in the country, the way the economy and resources are spent, the way the education system is run, the way the young and young people are taken care of.

He said that the year is already full for the Lord who is the owner, and who has assured that he will accompany his children, and said that this year we will be in the company of the Lord who is the chief pilot, adding that the year will be no time to miss the path or sail to an unknown destination, saying that the Lord will do all things in a new dimension that will bring comfort, healing and solutions to the problem of Nigeria and its people.

According to Bishop Nwokolo, “2023 is the year of God’s blessing to Nigeria, it is a year of development, a year of transformation and a year when the Lord will do something new and surprise everyone in Nigeria.

“Relax God is in control. We assure you not to be afraid, although things may look bleak, it is not the end of it all. Our hope is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth, this earth belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ, this year 2023 is the year of the Lord, God owns it and he will lead it.

“The calling and expectations of the Lord is that we all surrender our plans to Him, surrender our expectations to Him, when you link your expectations to His expectations, the solution becomes reality because you are in the position where He wants you to be and there will be blessings for you.”
