The Deputy National Chairperson of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) (South), Chief Emma Eneukwu, has instructed Nigerians to follow the path of progress by ensuring mass support for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“Tinubu is a man who has shown immeasurable willingness to lead us as one indivisible nation towards a new Nigeria,” Eneukwu said in his New Year’s message on Saturday.
He noted that Nigeria needs a leader with a proven capacity to take everyone and who can benefit from President Muhammadu Buhari’s performance in office.
He said that through his manifesto, Tinubu had shown Nigerians the importance of electing him as president at this time.
“I want to welcome Nigerians to a new year full of hope and certainty.
“Our country has made significant progress in 2022 as we have overcome numerous barriers to our growth; which has paved way for a better Nigeria in 2023 if we can get it right and elect Asiwaju Tinubu from the APC.
“Tinubu is a man whose antecedents speak volumes for him, a charismatic leader and team player who believes in adhering to democratic principles at all times.
“As a Nigerian who loves my country so much, I feel that 2023 is the right time to have Tinubu as president as he would benefit from the achievements of President Buhari’s government and give us a country that would be enviable are for others. ” he said.
Eneukwu urged Nigerians to jettison lies from people with negative antecedents, “since they only want to rule and not lead”.
According to him, they have previously shown themselves to be neophytes in providing progressive leadership to Nigerians.
“We can only have a new Nigeria if we support APC to continue; to complete our redemption activities and programs.
A look at Tinubu’s manifesto titled: “Renewed Hope 2023 – Action Plan for a Better Nigeria”, which focused on national security, economy, agriculture, energy, oil and gas, transport and education and other areas such as: healthcare, digital economy , women’s empowerment, judicial reform, federalism/decentralization of power among others.
“The manifesto provides answers to issues affecting Nigerians, especially those at grassroots level,” he said.
He added that Nigerians cannot afford to miss this golden opportunity that comes every once in a while.
Eneukwu called on political parties to jettison defamatory campaigns, but focusing on issues as such would prevent tensions and allow everyone to participate without fear.
At all times he advocated the conspicuousness of prayers for the land “since only God can make it a trouble-free land.”
The APC leader urged the election adjudicator, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to hold free, fair, credible elections in 2023.
He denounced the killings under religious and separatist guises while calling for a total halt to attacks on INEC offices across the country.
