GOVERNOR Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has described 2023 as a year of crucial decision-making, saying the year could make or mar the country depending on the decisions that would be made by Nigerians.
Emmanuel speaking at a New Year’s Eve church service at United Evangelical Church, Aka Road, Uyo, stressed that Nigerians must make crucial decisions needed to move the country forward in 2023.
He added that by all assessments, Nigeria has been generously blessed to do better than it currently does, and therefore called on Christians to pray fervently for the country and also for the state.
His words: “It has come to a point where Christians in this country need to stand up and say to God Your will be done, especially for Nigeria. When you judge so many things, you will see that God has blessed us generously.
“I have never seen a country as blessed as Nigeria, but we need to get things right. This country must move forward. It is by His special Grace that we are all here. 2023 is pregnant with many things.
2023 is a year that can make or mar us as a country. It is a year of crucial decision-making. It’s a mysterious year, but when a mysterious year comes, God does mysterious things.
“People should not be surprised to see God doing the unusual in the new year. It is election year and I pray for the peace of God to envelop the state of Akwa Ibom throughout the period.”
Delivering a homily on the subject of “Expect great things”, Pastor Message Akwaowo exhorted the people to trust in God to do great things that are remarkable, undeniable and mostly dream-like, distinguishing between those who honor him and those who don’t. not honor him.
