Arsenal have made an improved bid for Shakhtar Donetsk striker Mykhaylo Mudryk amid interest from Premier League rivals, Chelsea,

The Gunners had their initial offer of £55 million rejected by the Ukrainian club.

According to reports, the 21-year-old had reached personal terms on a five-year contract with the Gunners and is patiently waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement.

Shakhtar is firm in their valuation of Mudryk, estimating him in the same category as Antony and Jack Grealish, costing £85m and £100m respectively.

According to Ukrainian outlet Sport Arena, Shakhtar is ‘now’ considering whether to accept or reject Arsenal’s second offer, with Chelsea also keeping a close eye on proceedings as the Blues weigh up whether to enter the race.
