Contrary to expectations that the G5 governors under the auspices of the Integrity Group are likely to announce their choice of presidential candidate in Ibadan in the upcoming general election, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has revealed that members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the state of Oyo will soon be told who to vote for in the presidential election.
Wike, speaking in Ibadan yesterday at Governor ‘Seyi Makinde’s official campaign flag held at old Mapo in Ibadan, urged the people of the state to cast their vote for all participants vying for various seats in the 2023 general election on the party stage.
He described Governor Makinde as a person who believes in fear, justice and justice and has done well to earn a second term in office.
Wike said, “Governor ‘Seyi Makinde has done a good job, the only way for him is to go back and finish the good work he started.”
“Vote for Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, vote for all the candidates on the party’s platform, but the other one, Seyi Makinde will tell you.”
“We believe in justice, fairness, honesty and fairness, hence our reason for urging you to support the righteous governor God has given you in the state of Oyo. Makinde has done well since 2019 and the only way we appreciate him is to send him back to the government to allow him to complete the good work he started.”
In the same vein, other members of the G5, in their separate remarks during the programme, thanked party members for their unwavering support for Governor Makinde, describing him as a vibrant leader who has what it takes to take the state to enviable heights .

He then expressed his appreciation to the people and party believers for entrusting the fate of the state under his care, and assured that more development projects and programs will take place in the state.
Makinde, who boasted that among other things, he had increased the state’s internally generated revenue from about N1.7 billion to N3.8 billion by the end of November 2022, pledged to do more for the people of the state.
